NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--January 11, 2001
In Silicon Alley Reporter's just-released ranking of the 100 most influential internet companies in New York, Vault, the Insider Career Network(TM), is ranked No. 41, which is up 24 places from its No. 65 ranking last year.
Recognized as the preeminent `who's who' of Silicon Alley, the Silicon Alley Reporter 100 ranks Internet companies on the following criteria: vision, execution, money, network, and presence. Silicon Alley Reporter's editors called the top 60 companies "the `A-list'... that undoubtedly deserved inclusion" and "blue-chip Internet companies." The editors added, "Vault's trio of co-founders earned its venture a huge dose of mainstream credibility by recruiting old media veteran Eric Ober--previously the president of CBS News and The Food Network--as CEO."
Other companies to make this year's top 100 issue included such Internet powerhouses as AOL/Time Warner (NYSE: AOL) (NYSE: TWX), Doubleclick (NASDAQ: DCLK), Globix (NASDAQ: GBIX), and Jupiter Media Metrix (NASDAQ: JMXI).
Vault has recently received accolades and awards from other top news sources including Forbes recently naming Vault to its "Best of the Web" issue and Fortune calling Vault "The best place on the web to prepare for a job search."
