New Name For The Bank Of Nashville Investment Group

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 2001
The Bank of Nashville ("The Bank"), a subsidiary of Community Financial Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: CFGI) announced today that it is renaming its investment services division. Formerly operating under the banner of LM Financial Partners, Inc., the division is now The Bank of Nashville Investment Group.
The Bank of Nashville has provided personal investment services to customers for the past six years through a relationship with LM Financial Partners, Inc., a subsidiary of Legg Mason, Inc. That relationship will not change, according to J. Hunter Atkins, president and CEO of The Bank of Nashville.
"The new name extends our brand as a locally-owned financial center that combines big bank resources with the personal service and customer sensitivity of a community bank, " Atkins said.
The seven person staff of The Bank of Nashville Investment Group includes four financial analysts and provides securities brokerage, investment advisory and other financial services including:
-- Investment management; -- Stocks, bonds and mutual funds; -- Life and long-term care insurance; -- Estate planning; and, -- Financial planning.
Brick Sturgeon, who led the investment group at its inception in 1993, said the name change more clearly demonstrates The Bank's unique advantage in the Nashville market. "It demonstrates our commitment to the local community and our role as a provider of a comprehensive range of financial services," he said.
In addition to Sturgeon, other investment professionals in The Bank of Nashville Investment Group are Harold J. "Hap" Caster, Pam Morris and Allan Horner. The Bank of Nashville Investment Group has offices in both the downtown and Green Hills offices of the Bank. P. The Bank of Nashville is a wholly owned subsidiary of Community Financial Group, Inc.
