Yahoo! Outloud's Online Ticket Promotion Produces 15 Sold-Out Weezer Shows; Remaining Tickets Now On-Sale at Box Offices

The recent collaboration between Yahoo! (Nasdaq:YHOO), Weezer, Ticketmaster, and venue promoters nationwide for the upcoming Yahoo!(R) Outloud tour resulted in a promotion that sold out 90 percent of tour tickets exclusively online. Fifteen of the 20 shows are now completely sold-out, including performances in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago. This successful promotional relationship clearly illustrates the power of the Internet as an effective entertainment marketing tool. Regularly priced tickets are available now online via the official Yahoo! Outloud site (http://outloud.yahoo.com) and at ticketmaster.com, and offline at Ticketmaster retail ticket centers and via charge-by-phone lines.

Beginning February 1, the Yahoo! Outloud site plans to feature content including: a Weezer Digital Tour Diary, exclusive Weezer footage, clips and interviews, live and on-demand Webcasts and downloadable music. Fans can also find contests for music-related prizes such as MP3 players, along with a charity auction, chats and message boards where they can connect with the band.
Yahoo! Outloud is an integrated online/offline music experience that kicks off February 21 in Austin, Texas, and visits 20 cities and more than 60 college campuses nationwide before concluding on March 18 in San Diego, Calif. The official site, which can also be accessed through Yahoo! Music (http://music.yahoo.com), offers complete tour details, including announcements and information about supporting bands. Limited edition, commemorative tickets were available at a discounted price when purchased prior to Dec. 31 on the official site.
