NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 2001
e-SIM Extends Relationship with European Technology Distributor,
Telelogic AB
e-SIM, Inc. (NASDAQ: ESIM), the leader in advanced simulation technology for product development, customer support and Internet applications, announced today that Telelogic Europe AB (Stockholm Stock Exchange: TLOG), a leading supplier of solutions for real-time software development, configuration management and requirements management, has finalized an agreement with Ford Werke AG, Ford's German Division, which represents a major contribution to Ford's Budget of the Electric and Electronic Systems Engineering Department in Europe.
This is the latest example of the expanding global utilization and implementation of e-SIM's RapidPLUS code generation technology for creation of products within the automotive market.
Under the terms of the agreement, Telelogic will use e-SIM's technology to support Ford's development process. e-SIM's Software Tools Division has developed RapidPLUS, which is an integrated suite of prototype development tools for embedded systems. The RapidPLUS suite of software tools were developed to support the entire product life cycle, from inception through the development, promotion, support and maintenance stages.
"We are very pleased with Telelogic's success in their efforts to grow the customer base for RapidPLUS," stated Ken Dixon, president of e-SIM's Software Tools division. "We consider our third party relationships a crucial cornerstone for our continued growth. Telelogic's results validate our belief in these alliances." Ford Germany Electronic Subsystems Manager, Dr. Hans Welfers, said that, "RapidPLUS helps us to provide our suppliers in the fields of Driver Information and Climate Control Systems, Audio and Multimedia Systems with specifications which are perfectly accurate and non-ambiguous. We are able to simulate user interface and functionality to any degree of detail, thus the risk of expensive misunderstandings is minimized." Dr. Welfers further remarked that, "Expensive double implementation work is avoided, and all parties win: our suppliers, our customers and Ford as the manufacturer."
Olivier Apap, who heads e-SIM's European office, said that, "Telelogic has not only been a great partner for us, but has truly helped the European development efforts to reach world class levels. They serve their clients with integrity to get the job done."
