AirFiber Adds Telecom Veterans to Board; Brett Helm, Newly Named President And COO, and Marcel Gani, CFO of Juniper Networks, Join Company's Board of Directors

AirFiber Inc., the San Diego-based developer of wireless optical networking equipment, Tuesday announced the addition of Brett Helm, recently named as AirFiber's president and chief operating officer (COO), and Marcel Gani, chief financial officer (CFO) of Juniper Networks, to the company's board of directors.
"Brett Helm and Marcel Gani are telecom veterans with unique skills that will help guide our company through the transition to profitability," said Jim Dunn, CEO of AirFiber Inc. "Each have demonstrated this capability with several companies - Brett from the operations side and Marcel from the financial point of view."
Helm oversees all of AirFiber's operations focusing on revenue growth and evolution to profitability. He joined AirFiber from Intel Corp., where he served as general manager of the Network Equipment Division. Helm has also served as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of IPivot and held executive positions with @Home and US WEST.
Gani serves as chief financial officer with Juniper Networks and is also responsible for information systems and human resources. Gani has also served as vice president and CFO of NVIDIA Corp., Grand Junction Networks, Primary Access Corp. and NeXT Computer Inc.
Helm and Gani join Jim Dunn of AirFiber, Bill Stensrud of Enterprise Partners, Katherine Gould of Foundation Capital and Thomas Bernard of Leap Wireless on the AirFiber board of directors.
