Local Musician Shows Viewers That With a Computer and His State-of-the-Art Music Lessons TV They Can Affordably Learn to Play an

Instrument in the Privacy and Comfort of Their Own Home

Dan Lefler, a 20-year music teaching and recording veteran has launched a new Web site: Music Lessons Television Network, MLTV.NET. "I saw the need for quality, quick, inexpensive music education that could be enjoyed by the masses," said Lefler.

Because this is a society obsessed with watching TV, Lefler decided to deliver his one-of-a-kind "digital video music lessons" in a unique TV-like format. These lessons combine the video of a live person explaining and demonstrating teaching techniques onto a one-page downloadable file that also has the instructions and sheet music notation-tablature included.

Lefler's method is state of the art not only because of its delivery system but also because it gives everyone a chance to learn to play by ear, read music and write their own songs.

Each enrolled student gets access to more than 3,000 pre-recorded video music lessons. Beginner, intermediate and advanced lessons are available for the guitar, piano, violin, flute, drums, harmonica and more. Each student can choose from an individualized class schedule detailing what lessons to take and in what order to take them. Or, they can pick and choose the lessons they want to learn.

One of the exciting features of this site is that students also have the option of requesting specific lessons that are not currently on the site. You get to decide which direction your music learning will take and no matter which direction you choose you will end up enjoying the experience and mastering your instrument.

Each enrolled student also gets their own "music learning locker" where they can store their interactive song list, goal sheet, practice log and in-progress lessons and sheet music online for quick and easy access.

Lefler also sees this as an economical solution to enable schools to put music instruction back into their curriculum, a move that will help students improve their test scores as well as giving them a better-rounded education.

It has been said that music is the universal language and Dan Lefler is going to use MLTV.NET to achieve his dream of teaching the world a new way to learn how to play music.
