Unicomp Launches Latest Version Of mAStermind For IBM iSeries 400 — Robust IBM iSeries 400 Creates a New Market for UniComp's mAStermind Management Software

UNICOMP INC. (Nasdaq: UCMP), a provider of retail e-business solutions, customer-activated wireless devices and software solutions for companies, resellers and system integrators worldwide, launched the latest version of its mAStermind(TM) management software, developed specifically for the new IBM iSeries 400 family. This latest version provides job scheduling across an integrated iSeries 400, Unix or PC network allowing control of job scheduling and monitoring of key information technology (IT) resources from a single contact point.

mAStermind is a comprehensive suite of system management software to quickly and easily provide pre-scheduled disk management, job scheduling, spool file management, back-up and recovery, source code management , SMS messaging and software implementation for the IBM AS/400 and the IBM iSeries 400. Now, IT professionals can initiate system maintenance jobs at a specific time, as a recurring event or as a reaction to other events that take place within a IBM AS/400, iSeries 400, a Unix based system, or a PC on the network. mAStermind performs the maintenance functions, unattended, and provides a complete job history for the IT manager. If a process should require intervention, mAStermind will alert the operator via the system monitor.
Hafer noted that mAStermind is currently installed internationally as well as in North America in companies such as Kraft, Abbott Pharmaceutical, SSA Global Technologies, the Coca Cola Company, Maersk Air Ltd., Murco Petroleum Ltd., Johnson Matthey Plc., Hill Price Davidson Ltd., and Newhall Publications Ltd.
