Two senior executives with rich experience in secure e-commerce have joined Identrus(TM) LLC, the world's leading provider of identity trust for global business-to-business Internet commerce. Elizabeth Halaki has joined Identrus as senior vice president of marketing and business development, and Dave Oshman has become senior vice president of technology.
Halaki and Oshman will help Identrus advance its technical excellence and articulate the ways all companies can profit from identity certainty, application security and risk management. "Talented, dynamic people make great companies, and Elizabeth and Dave certainly fit the description," said Identrus President and CEO Guy S. Tallent. "They will refine our technical vision and more effectively communicate the value of our far-reaching services."
Elizabeth Halaki, senior vice president of marketing and business development
Halaki is responsible for product strategy, marketing, public relations, channel support and relationships with application developers and security partners. She comes to Identrus with more than 20 years of cross-industry management consulting, business development, marketing communications and branding experience in the United States and Europe.
Prior to Identrus, Halaki was chief marketing officer at risk management and security company CertCo Inc. For three years prior to that, Halaki was a member of the BoozoAllen & Hamilton Financial and Health Services strategy group in New York. Halaki implemented strategy, branding and e-business projects for leading financial services companies. Previously, Halaki was senior vice president-group director at global advertising giant McCann-Erickson Worldwide, where she headed the Chemical Bank business and the Chase Manhattan account after the two financial institutions merged. In the 1980s, she co-founded Halaki Associates, a New York advertising and marketing services company. Halaki has also held management roles at Ted Bates Worldwide, where she developed and executed brand strategies for Fortune 500 firms.
Halaki earned a bachelor's degree in 1976 from the Cornell University School of Arts & Sciences and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix in 1997. She is on the board of directors of the nonprofit New York City Audubon Society.
Dave Oshman, senior vice president of technology
Oshman is responsible for guiding and managing the Identrus technology team as it refines the performance, reliability and user experience of the first-of-its kind global trust system. Oshman is an expert on network security, especially e-commerce security, public key infrastructure (PKI), message security, digital certificates and X.500 directories.
Prior to joining Identrus in 2000, Oshman was one of the founders of beTRUSTed, the trusted third party digital certificate offering from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. As an expert in PKI policy and technology, he served as the policy approval authority for beTRUSTed and was responsible for pricing, product definition and product direction. He also shared sales and marketing responsibilities in the Americas.
Oshman co-founded beTRUSTed after three years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was senior manager of the firm's E-Commerce Security Center of Excellence. Earlier, he helped implement the United States Postal Service's highly successful PKI-based PC Postage(TM) program. Before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, Oshman spent 10 years at the National Security Agency, where he designed and installed the U.S. government's first operational public key infrastructure.
Oshman earned a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Boston University in 1987 and has taken postgraduate classes at the National Cryptologic School and Carnegie Mellon University. He is certified by the National Security Agency as an Information Systems Security Professional, the U.S. government's equivalent of the popular CISSP designation.
