BindView Corporation (NASDAQ: BVEW), a leading provider of IT administration and security management solutions, announced today bv-Control for Microsoft Exchange v2.0, a comprehensive management solution for Microsoft Exchange environments. As part of the bv-Control Security Management Suite, this product provides customers with innovative assessment, analysis and administration capabilities for their Exchange environments. With the inclusion of the ActiveAdmin(R) feature in this new release, bv-Control for Microsoft Exchange v2.0 provides Exchange administrators with extended vulnerability assessment capabilities, configuration and security policy enforcement features and enhanced productivity of Exchange administration. This solution allows customers to prepare for migration to Exchange 2000, while helping them deal with the complexities of managing a heterogeneous Exchange environment.
BindView's exclusive ActiveAdmin(R) feature enables bv-Control for Microsoft Exchange to "find and fix" numerous security vulnerabilities and threats in the Exchange environment. Automated action for compliance with security policies, such as extraction of suspicious file types for analysis, can be performed and immediate policy enforcement applied as appropriate across the organization.
