New e*Way Intelligent Adapter Suite Connects Enterprises
with Web Servers and Application Servers from iPlanet,
Apache, Microsoft, IBM and others
SeeBeyond (Nasdaq: SBYN), the leading global provider of eBusiness Integration (eBI) solutions, today announced the release of a number of e*Way(TM) Intelligent Adapters for Microsoft(R) Internet Information Server (IIS), Apache Web Server, IBM(R) WebSphere Application Server, iPlanet(TM) Web Server, iPlanet(TM) Application Server and any CGI based Web server. These new offerings add to SeeBeyond's comprehensive array of more than 60 packaged e*Way adapters and are designed to seamlessly connect enterprise data with a broad range of the industry's leading enterprise Web servers.
Today's leading e-Commerce sites rely heavily on the speed and accuracy at which enterprise data and processes can be accessed, updated and made available to web users. The challenge however lies in the inherent number of disparate systems and the inability to make real-time information such as customer data, inventory levels and order status available to web users. The six new e*Way adapters from SeeBeyond provide the broadest reliable connectivity between applications and databases, enabling rapid deployment of highly scalable web communications to back-office systems.
"Web applications have reached a point where real-time and comprehensive data access is imperative to their success," said Scott Wildy, Platform Product Line Manager for SeeBeyond. "Our e*Way intelligent adapters take the guesswork out of feeding information from your existing system to your Web server, so customers can spend their time and resources focusing on their core competencies and creating the best-suited Web applications and content for end-users."
SeeBeyond's Web server e*Way adapters cover a broad range of standards, protocols and server brands. The new e*Way Intelligent Adapter for the iPlanet Web server and application server as well as IBM's WebSphere application server exposes application data through Java Servlets and renders dynamic web content through Java Server Pages. e*Way adapter connectivity for Microsoft's Internet Information Server uses Microsoft Active Server Pages with Microsoft Visual Basic(R) for dynamic Web content. Furthermore, SeeBeyond offers e*Way adapters for the open-source Apache Web server and any standard CGI-enabled Web server, thus enabling swift bi-directional transfer between Internet and application interfaces.
Web servers connected with SeeBeyond's e*Way adapters can communicate, through the e*Gate(TM) Integrator platform, with more than 60 existing intelligent adapters for enterprise applications and systems including BroadVision, PeopleSoft, Oracle and SAP. Furthermore, unlimited connectivity is quickly accessible through the Generic e*Way Extension Kit for custom applications.
Key Features for SeeBeyond's e*Way Intelligent Adapters for Web Servers:
-- Support for up to 1,000 simultaneous client sessions per e*Way -- Robust out-of-the-box synchronous request/reply messaging -- Message-based architecture for loosely coupled integration between web and back-office applications -- Parallel processing and load balancing across the network for unlimited scalability -- Powerful data parsing and collaborations through e*Gate Integrator -- Synchronous and asynchronous connectivity for both instant and automated data transfer
