Heartland Payment Systems Introduces Online Merchant Management Services

Business Wire, Jan 4, 2001

Business Editors

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 4, 2001

Heartland Payment Systems Inc. (HPS) recently launched The Merchant Center, a proprietary group of online merchant management services that provide businesses with immediate access to their transaction data.

Heartland's Merchant Center offers unique Internet access to accurate and timely data to help businesses manage their transaction processing more effectively and conveniently.

Heartland's Merchant Center allows businesses to obtain important merchant account data in customized report formats online. Authorized users are supplied with an individual Merchant ID and password to access the secured data that can be viewed, printed or saved to a PC, making it available for analysis, presentation and archiving.

"The Merchant Center provides merchants with the flexibility of account self-servicing, and the ability to access online transaction information and historical data for analysis," said Brooks Terrell, chief technology officer, HPS. "Heartland is technology driven, and we are always looking for ways to help our merchants better manage their time, their customers, and their businesses more efficiently."

Additionally, Heartland has developed an online demonstration of The Merchant Center's capabilities. Merchants are encouraged to log on to www.e-hps.com and take a virtual tour of its many value-added services and Internet reporting system.

"Due to overwhelmingly positive feedback from our merchants already online, Heartland has been working diligently to enhance our Internet services and develop business tools to provide increased value to our merchants," said Terrell.

"In addition to improved site functionality, interested merchants can now enjoy simple online sign-up and the ability to take a virtual tour to find out how our merchant management services can work for their businesses. The Merchant Center should change the way merchants obtain and manage important data."

Heartland's online merchant management services will be offered to merchants for a one-time activation fee of $9.95 and a $2.95 monthly merchant services fee.

Expanded features and additional online tools will be introduced in first quarter, 2001. Other valuable business tools scheduled for an early release date include online supply ordering and business-to-business solutions to help merchants streamline their operations and increase productivity.

Dedicated to the success of their merchants, Heartland Payment Systems strives to develop value-added services for their merchants to help their businesses grow and prosper.
