JVC MOBILE ENTERTAINMENT AD CAMPAIGN FEATURING NIKKI SIXX LAUNCHES AT CES

"JVC Mobile Entertainment will launch a new radically-geared advertising campaign at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas," said Chad Vogelsong, National Product and Marketing Manager for Mobile Entertainment.

"JVC has recognized that young people today like to personalize their lives. Too often being forced to conform on an everyday basis, young people are looking to their technology, art and music as a way to make a personal statement." Looking to this trend, JVC's overall advertising and promotion program will focus on the central themes of personalization - technology, body art and music.

Body art will play a central role in the creative for the advertising campaign. The first series of print ads feature the tattoos of Nikki Sixx. Sixx is a producer, founder of Americoma Records and a founding member of the bands Motley Crue and 58.

The Mobile Entertainment portion of the JVC booth (#646) will be transformed into a high tech tattoo parlor. All Day Saturday and Sunday, visitors will have the opportunity to be tattooed with a temporary tattoo in a tattoo chair and to meet Nikki Sixx from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. But even more, Nikki Sixx's tattooed '57 Chevy will be on display in the booth throughout the show, featuring many new JVC products.

JVC'S RENOWNED EL KAMELEON IN-DASH CHANGER CONTROL CD RECEIVERS OFFER NEW FEATURES, USER-FRIENDLY DESIGN

JVC is introducing new features and user-friendly designs in its El KAMELEON In-Dash Changer Control CD Receivers. Two new models, the KD-LX300 and KD-LX100 make their debut in the line in 2001. Each features a Motorized Rotary Encoder for precise, instant fingertip control over sound levels and other functions, as well as a more upright fingertip control panel for ease of use, in addition to a more ergonomic front control panel profile. The KD-LX50 EL KAMELEON With Voice Recognition Continues as Top-of-Line.

CD/CASSETTE RECEIVERS AND CHANGER SYSTEMS

JVC is upgrading its line of high-performance CD and cassette receivers for 2001, bringing a new level of power and sound fidelity to mobile audio. Led by flagship model KD-SX870, the new line of high-performance CD receivers are equipped with a versatile array of features and functions that improve driving safety and elevates mobile entertainment to its most comfortable and enjoyable level.

The KS-FX470 Changer-Control Cassette Receiver is an in-dash system that will "Excite Your Senses" and satisfy the most discriminating listeners. It boasts increased power of 180 Watts, transmitted via four powerful 45-Watt channels, to surround the listener with high-quality Dolby B NR sound. It has an HS-II Tuner featuring 18 FM and 6 AM presets and Advanced Sound Control Memory so that it does not have to be constantly reset. The cassette deck features a Full Logic Mechanism.

JVC is introducing two new CD-R and CD-R/W compatible models to its exclusive line of world's smallest 12-disc CD Changers. The CH-X1000 and CH-X1000RF offer exceptional reliability and full compatibility with the increasingly popular CD-R and CD-R/W multimedia formats.
