Casio's GPS-2 Watch, QV-3000EXPLUS Digital Camera and WQV-1 Wrist Camera Watch Featured in 'Innovations 2001' At CES

Honoree for the Personal Electronics Product Category

Casio, Inc., Dover, N.J., announced today that three of its most innovative products have been selected to be highlighted at "Innovations 2001" Booth #24143 at The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that opened in Las Vegas, Nevada today. The Innovations 2001 Booth is located in the Silver Pavilion at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) in Las Vegas. In addition, Casio's two "Best of Show" products will be featured in the "Best of Show" kiosk in the Grand Lobby of the LVCC.

According to the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) the products included in the Innovations 2001 exhibit are among the best in the industry and are selected by a panel of independent judges. (CES is sponsored, produced and managed by CEA.)

- Best of Show - GPS-2 PAT2GP-1V- $499 suggested retail. Pathfinder Satellite
NAVI is the world's first wristwatch with a built-in Global Positioning System
(GPS) capability. Features include: rechargeable battery and compact design;
50-meter water resistant; auto time correction; position measurement displayed
by latitude and longitude; graphic navigation screens that depict the
relationship of your current position to your destination; plot screen that
displays your progress from one point to another; altimeter; multi-windowing
displays various data at once; landmark and auto track memory; EL backlight and
a built-in interface supports quick, easy data exchange between the watch and
your computer using bundled software.

- Best of Show - WQV-1 - $199 suggested retail. The world's first wrist-type
wearable digital camera that can be used anyplace, any time features: built-in
STN LCD monochrome screen (120 x 120 dots) with 16 grayscales; stores up to 100
images; has three recording modes; has visual data bank feature for storage of
portrait, name and phone number records; features infrared data transfer with a
computer or another wrist camera; is user friendly and includes basic
timekeeping features such as current time, alarm, stopwatch and more.

- QV3000EX PLUS - $899 suggested retail. The world's first personal-use digital
camera with 3.34 megapixel CCD that captures every nuance of the subject. Casio
QV-3000EX leads market in number of fine resolution images that can be stored
in camera, 245 images. The storage device is a 340MB IBM Microdrive that fits
internal CF II slot. Casio cameras are designed to recognize and work with IBM
Microdrives. The camera has a built-in bright F2.0 3X Canon optical zoom lens,
wide aperture lens, and USB cable connectability for easy transfer of images to
a computer. The camera features sophisticated color balancing system for
natural looking color. The QV-3000EXPLUS comes bundled with software that
automates exchange of images with a personal computer and supports use of an
IBM microdrive, which means that image management and transfer are quicker and
easier than ever before. Panorama mode doesn't limit the number of images and
stitches them in-camera for LCD display. Other features include a Night Mode
that uses a Casio original noise reduction system, a choice between shutter
speed priority and aperture priority, a Continuous Mode that records up to
three images at intervals of 0.5 second, and much, much more.
