LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 2001

Telegen Corporation announced today that it will be demonstrating a series of its enhanced HGED flat panel prototypes as well as two new wireless technologies at the 2001 International Consumer Electronics Show, Booth 6912 North Hall, being held January 6th through January 9th at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Telegen's flat panel business unit will be demonstrating two new HGED flat panel prototypes, a 12" diagonal full color, full motion video flat panel display with VGA resolution and a 14" diagonal full color, full motion video flat panel display with SVGA resolution.

Telegen's wireless business unit will be demonstrating a new line of compact, high gain antennas called the "InterTenna". The InterTenna(TM) is a patent-pending technology developed by Telegen Laboratories which reduces the physical size of an antenna without reducing its signal capturing ability, allowing an antenna to be placed inside a product, such as a radio or cellular phone, rather than to be external to the product.

Telegen's subsidiary, Telisar Corporation, will be demonstrating two datacasting business products based upon its wireless datacasting technology. The Telisar Separate Video Program(TM) or SVP(TM) technology is designed to allow simultaneous transmission of a second full video signal within an existing analog television broadcast channel with no degradation in the television picture. The SVP technology may provide broadcasters with the potential to transmit premium movie or pay channels over existing broadcast spectrum.

Telisar will also demonstrate a terrestrial-based Digital Radio Service based upon its wireless datacasting service. This technology is designed to allow the simultaneous transmission of up to 40 CD quality stereo channels of music or audio content within one existing analog television broadcast channel with no degradation in the television picture. Multiple channels per market could be allotted for additional digital radio channels.
