Teradyne Completes Sale of Software Test Unit

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 8, 2001

Teradyne (NYSE: TER) completed the sale of a controlling interest of its software test group, previously announced in September 2000, to an investor group led by Matrix Partners of Waltham, Massachusetts. Teradyne retains an ownership position in the new company, now called Empirix. Terms were not announced.
