ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 8, 2001
PricewaterhouseCoopers today announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with River Logic, Inc. (RLI), the market leader for enterprise optimization technology and decision support applications, and Heads Up Systems, LLC (HUS), a provider of management consulting based on advanced modeling technologies.
The alliance was created to better enable PricewaterhouseCoopers, RLI and HUS to directly address the increasing challenges facing companies in optimizing performance to maximize value for their stakeholders. PricewaterhouseCoopers, RLI and HUS will work with clients to identify areas where improved decision-making will have the greatest impact on enterprise profit. The alliance combines the three companies' complementary knowledge and expertise to develop, market, implement, and support Enterprise Optimization Solutionality (EOS)(TM). The concept of "solutionality(TM)" focuses on the components of an issue and provides a tailored solution to each component in a seamless process.
At the core of the EOS offering is an intuitive Windows-based application - Enterprise Optimizer(TM) (EO). River Logic, Inc. is the developer of EO and other market leading technologies and applications that enable enterprise optimization solutions. The platform for EO is River Logic's COR Technology(R). COR is based on advanced constraint-oriented reasoning technology that enables powerful and intuitive decision support applications unlike any other in the marketplace today. Furthermore, this alliance provides PricewaterhouseCoopers with the market leadership position as the only global implementation partner of EO.
Robbie Pound, PricewaterhouseCoopers EOS lead partner stated, "Optimal decision-making requires the common language of enterprise profitability to be recognized across an enterprise. We are very excited to have access to River Logic's COR Technology(R) through our global implementation partner status. Our alliance places us in a unique position to assist our clients in making profit optimization a short term reality."
Bob Whitehair, founder and chief research officer of River Logic said, "PricewaterhouseCoopers is one of the world's premier knowledge-based organizations. We are looking forward to working with them to fully leverage their expertise to deliver unprecedented value to their clients. The opportunities for RLI, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and HUS to extend the benefits of enterprise optimization to the entire business community, and to the public sector as well, are extremely exciting for all of us."
"Business clients consistently find dramatic improvement in planning, communication, and profits with the approach and technology PricewaterhouseCoopers is now providing with EOS," commented Lud Kimbrough, president of Heads Up Systems, referring to demonstrated results HUS has observed over the past two years. "This is great news for the international business community."
