Authoria HR Chosen as Essential Web-Personalization Application to
Deliver HR and Benefits Information to CUNA Employees
Authoria Inc., the trusted world leader in personalized, dynamically generated, Web-based communication, today announced that CUNA Mutual Group is the latest customer to select Authoria HR 3.0 as a keystone application in its e-business strategy program.
Authoria HR 3.0 will enable CUNA Mutual Group to deliver comprehensive, Web-based employee communications to 5000 nationwide associates located in two main campuses and in field offices across the country. CUNA Mutual Group will be implementing all ten modules of Authoria HR 3.0 and Health and Welfare Benefits Administration will be the first to go live in fall 2001 as the first component of CUNA Mutual Group's automation of their annual benefits enrollment.
CUNA Mutual Group is migrating its HR benefits program to the Web from a paper-based process. Traditionally, CUNA Mutual Group employees received benefit plan comparison forms through the mail. In the case that they sought additional counsel in determining the best benefit plan for their needs, they were reliant upon the mailed summary plan descriptions and phone calls to the company's HR department for assistance. With Authoria HR 3.0, CUNA Mutual Group will be able to deliver summary plan descriptions to its employees via corporate intranet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
"Companies such as CUNA Mutual Group put great care into selecting and offering the best health and benefit plans, yet communication barriers can take away from the value that employees feel they are receiving," said Tod Loofbourrow, president and CEO of Authoria. "In fact, a recent survey shows that over half of all employers say their employees think rules about coverage are difficult to understand and hard to find. For CUNA Mutual, this should no longer be the case. Authoria HR gives this organization the means to deliver critical HR and benefits knowledge to its workforce, allowing employees instant access to personalized information- whether it's to learn the answer to a routine enrollment question or to cope with an emergency situation in the middle of the night."
"Authoria HR is an essential component of our e-business strategy," said Teri Edman, vice president of total compensation and benefits for CUNA Mutual Group. "As we looked at implementing Web-based B-to-C services for our credit union members, we realized it was equally important not to neglect our employees in our e-business planning. Authoria HR will be the first facet of our B-to-E initiative to provide automated open enrollment."
Authoria HR 3.0 is a Web-based application designed for the personalized communication of benefit plan and HR policies to employees. Authoria HR provides dynamically generated, personalized answers to vital questions employees have about their health coverage, their financial benefits, or their sick and vacation time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. By enabling businesses to deliver consistent, timely and accurate benefits information online to their employees, Authoria provides the means to improve employee communication, reduce administrative costs, and increase HR's strategic contribution to the business.
