Gartner, Inc. Announces New Symposia Locations in Africa and Canada

Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT and ITB) today announced plans to hold its first Symposia in Africa and Canada in the 12-year history of the conference series.
The African event will take place July 29 - August 1 in Sandton, South Africa, and the Canadian event will be held September 5 -7 in Toronto.

The keynote speakers at the Sandton event will be Gartner analysts Roger Cox, David Flint, Andy Kyte and Steve Prentice, who will speak on The Net Liberated Organization. Michelle d'Auray, CIO for the federal government of Canada, Sheryl Kennedy, Deputy Governor, Bank of Canada and top executives from Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft and Oracle will keynote at Gartner's Toronto event.

Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2001 Africa will feature more than 16 international Gartner analysts. The event will consist of four key tracks designed specifically for the business strategist, including presentations, tutorials and keynote sessions covering Regional Challenges, Global IT, and two parallel tracks focusing on The Net-Liberated Organization.
