Vignette Appoints Tim Wort as Vice President and General Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa; Veteran of Siebel and IBM Brings 18 Years of Experience to Vignette Sales Team

Vignette Corp. (Nasdaq:VIGN), the leading provider of customer-driven Internet applications, today announced the appointment of Tim Wort as vice president and general manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Wort joins Vignette from Siebel, where he recently served as vice president and managing director of Siebel UK. Before assuming that leadership role, Wort managed all indirect channels for Siebel EMEA.

Before joining Siebel, Wort worked at IBM Corp. for 17 years, which culminated in his appointment as vice president of Worldwide Sales for Application and Integration Software with worldwide responsibility for the sales organization and business results of the largest division within IBM's Software Group. Under Wort's leadership, the division achieved the highest productivity and highest revenue growth of any sales organization within IBM's Software Group. Previously, Wort served as director of software for IBM Northern Europe.
