Publicis Groupe S.A. today announced the formation of Collaborative Marketing Worldwide (CMW) to assist Publicis Groupe agencies in providing its unique collaborative marketing service to clients.

Collaborative marketing, a new and growing category of marketing service, is a strategic business building process through which manufacturers and retailers work together to create consumer-driven marketing programs using the retail store itself as a primary marketing medium.

Mel Korn, formerly CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Collaborative Marketing, has been elevated to the new position of Chief Executive Officer, Collaborative Marketing Worldwide (CMW). Saatchi & Saatchi Collaborative Marketing will continue to operate as a stand-alone unit with Margaret Somers, EVP/General Manager, assuming Mr. Korn's management responsibilities.

According to Mr. Korn who pioneered the concept of collaborative marketing, "CMW will provide all Publicis Groupe agencies with the collaborative expertise and tools to serve their clients in this rapidly growing arena." He explains that CMW will assist Publicis Groupe agency brands to implement the collaborative marketing process for current as well as new clients.
