NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--July 18, 2001

Johnny B., the creator and writer of the Jerky Boys, will appear on the syndicated radio program, Opie & Anthony, today.

A new CD with all new material from The Jerky Boys entitled, "The Jerky Tapes" has been released to record stores throughout the United States and Canada. The new CD from the multi-Platinum selling comedy act is the funniest and crankiest Jerky Boys CD yet, containing over 63 minutes of brand new material.

With cumulative sales of nearly 4 million CDs, these aptly named characters have earned their reputation as being the most outrageous phone pranksters in the world. Selections from this new CD include an amazing series of calls entitled "The Flower Lady," and one called, "Silverman Baby," which is destined to become a baseball prank classic (with apologies to Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees). All of the classic Jerky Boys characters are featured including, Frank Rizzo, Sol Rosenberg, Jack Tors, and Tarbash.

"I'm looking forward to being on the show with those two squeaky-ball bastards, said Frank Rizzo. "Eh, we go way back. We used to paint up the town, paint each other up," he added.

"We are real pleased The Jerky Boys have chosen Laugh.com to release their new CD, The Jerky Tapes," said Bob Kohn, CEO of Laugh.com. "Since signing The Jerky Boys, I've been very careful how I answer the phone."

In its review of The Jerky Tapes CD, CDNow said, "(I)t was only a matter of time before (Johnny B.) put together a new album. In fact, The Jerky Tapes may be the funniest one yet...(he) took a chance here with only nine tracks, but the calls are much longer than usual and hearing him sustain these calls past the five-minute mark is only more of a good thing."
