Agfa Adds Medical Equipment to Renewed Agreement with Shared Services Healthcare

Agfa Corporation announced today that Shared Services Healthcare, Inc., has renewed its contract to offer Agfa's medical imaging products to Shared Services' 960 members. Shared Services is a group purchasing organization (GPO) based in Atlanta, GA that serves healthcare institutions based primarily in the southern part of the US.

"We are pleased that Shared Services has expressed its confidence in Agfa by renewing and expanding our agreement," stated Bruce Gower, General Manager, Corporate Healthcare, Agfa Medical Imaging. "In addition to film products, Agfa's full family of imagers, ADC(TM) computed radiography (CR) systems and IMPAX(R) Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS) are now available to Shared Services' members. Significantly, the addition of our PACS line endorses Agfa to assist Shared Services' members in their transition from analog to digital imaging," he concluded.

Anita Fredricks, Director of Purchasing Program for Shared Services, noted her firm's longstanding, 10-year relationship with Agfa and stated, "In addition to offering our members Agfa's new line of capital equipment that was not previously available, this contract also offers them a greater savings in film and supplies."
