West Coast Bank Introduces New Mortgage Banking Division Staff

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 2, 2001

West Coast Bank (Nasdaq:WCBO) today announced the appointments of Steven W. Cole and Kenneth D. McBride as vice presidents of the Mortgage Banking Division.

Cole and McBride will be developing commercial and construction real estate loans, primarily for the secondary market. Cole will operate from the Company's Lake Oswego Branch and McBride from the Company's Clackamas Branch. They will serve both Oregon and Washington customers.

As former vice presidents at Centennial Mortgage, Cole and McBride bring 37 total years of experience in real estate underwriting, finance, and customer service to West Coast Bank.

Cole is a member of the Oregon Mortgage Bankers Association and Oregon Bankers Association, and is a past chairman of Key Bank of Oregon Fitness Committee, March of Dimes -- Run America (Oregon), and March of Dimes -- Steering Committee (Oregon). He also served as past president of the Deschutes Kiwanis.

McBride is also a member of the Oregon Mortgage Bankers Association. He previously served on the Oregon Bankers Association Real Estate Committee, March of Dimes -- Run America (Oregon), Catholic Youth Organization, and Sunrise Junior Baseball.
