New Capabilities Include Web-Based Employee Center, Mission
Control, Shrinkage Calculator, and Meeting Wizard
GMT Corp Monday announced that it will preview the industry's most complete, innovative and graphic workforce management software at the 2001 International Call Center Management (ICCM) Conference & Exposition.
Available later this year, this award-winning software includes powerful and innovative features for call center management:
-- GMT Planet Mission Control is the ultimate call center control and management tool. Similar to a medical EKG, Mission Control provides an easy to comprehend, continuously rolling, color-coded display that shows all the various elements of a living, breathing call center. This next-generation statistics display and analysis tool is the first ever WFM tool that enables a manager to monitor and quickly respond to all the information they need to run a call center, all on a single display. No longer do managers have to go back and forth between various programs to figure out what is going on with their call center. Mission Control gives it to them all in one view. This includes display and analysis of key statistics about call volumes, service levels, average speed to answer (ASA), adherence to schedules and staffing, and much more. Mission Control enables managers to view raw data, or to compare and analyze the differences in the data. Multiple levels of data can be displayed, from a single queue up to an entire call center's operations. -- The popular Employee Time Center is now Web-enabled and allows employees and managers to view and print schedules, review timesheets, and to make and review vacation and holiday requests, all over an Internet connection. The Employee Time Center also allows employees to easily swap shifts with other employees -- provided each swap meets criteria pre-set by the scheduling manager. This means that, for instance, an employee on vacation who is delayed could log on from an airport Internet portal (or a hotel business center) and arrange to swap his next shift with another employee.
"A rapidly emerging leader in the workforce management industry, GMT continues to raise the bar with key functionality for the call center space," said Todd Cotharin, senior partner of The Workforce Management Group Inc. "Jupiter's robust functionality and attractive price point make it a formidable contender in the workforce management software arena."
-- The industry's most comprehensive and easy-to-use shrinkage
calculation tool allows for shrinkage from no-shows, paid breaks,
shift overlap, vacations and other paid time-off, meetings, and
non-productive time. (Managers can also directly enter or edit the
factors.) The factors are then used to automatically project the
necessary FTEs by week, month or quarter. And, when schedules are
created, no-show shrinkage is automatically taken into account.
Integrated with GMT's best-of-class long-range budgeting and
costing features, shrinkage calculation will allow HR departments
to know the total agent FTE requirement months in advance so that
new agents can be hired and trained in a timely manner. It will
also allow budgets to be based on real-life cost projections that
include shrinkage as well as seasonality, and long-term trends.
-- A new advanced Meeting Wizard minimizes the impact of meetings and
training sessions on service while still making sure all employees
are scheduled for needed meetings and training. Meetings can be
held with one or multiple sessions and the user can control many
variables, such as the maximum and minimum size of each session,
how many concurrent sessions are allowed, during what days of the
week and what times of the day sessions can be scheduled, whether
shifts can be stretched for employees to attend meetings, whether
overtime will be allowed, and so on. The Meeting Wizard is
integrated with costing and shrinkage, as well.
"We expect this version to firmly establish us as the company offering the best balance of advanced features, flexibility and ease-of-use in the industry," said GMT's CEO Roger Avats. "As the only product that can schedule distribution centers and retail environments as well as call centers, GMT Planet Jupiter Edition will be the natural choice for call centers that need real workforce management power, no matter what their size."
