Continuing a 44-year tradition of industry-leading innovations, Lowrance Electronics Inc. (Nasdaq:LEIX) unveiled its exciting all-new 2002 SONAR and Global Positioning System (GPS) product line to marine electronics dealers and distributors at the American Sportfishing Association's 44th annual ICAST trade-only show.

Lowrance was the only SONAR and GPS manufacturer to introduce new products for 2002 at ICAST, the industry's traditional venue for the debut of new sportfishing equipment. Accenting enhanced technology, features, and diversity of choices, Lowrance showcased eleven all-new compact models for both the "Lowrance" and "Eagle" brand models.

NEW FEATURES HIGHLIGHTS

Improved viewing with eye appeal, both product lines feature a newly-advanced liquid crystal display fitted with a sporty new compact case design for attractive and convenient mounting, even in tight spaces.

All SONAR units now provide 200 kHz operation, and many models now include twice the transmit power and water surface temperature readings. Also included is the new FishReveal(TM) advancement that exposes fish previously undetectable when hiding in underwater cover, and the new HyperScroll(TM) feature to display fish targets at boat speeds up to 40 m.p.h.

To please boating, highway, and off-road navigators, new compact GPS models tout higher-definition displays for improved readability, built-in Wide Area Augmentation Service (WAAS) providing more precise position readings in selected locations, and the exclusive Multi-Media Card feature for instant memory expansion and convenience in creating and displaying high-detail mapping.
