Event Proceeds to Benefit Breast Cancer Research and Underprivileged
Youth Programs within the Greater Hartford Area
Konica Business Technologies, Inc. (KBT), the innovation leader in digital imaging solutions and a subsidiary of Konica Corporation, was honored to be represented as a sponsor for the LINCOLN FUTURES Golf Tour. The Tour returned to the Blue Fox Run in Connecticut last Wednesday for the third consecutive year, teaming up with "Chip in For A Cure" to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Coalition, which supports several breast cancer programs at the Hartford and Saint Francis Hospitals.
In addition to helping in the battle against breast cancer, the FUTURES Tour provides programs for underprivileged youths in the community, with the assistance of local sponsors. Included in this year's events was an educational presentation designed to promote energy conservation among today's youth. Furthermore, underprivileged youngsters were invited to participate in a free golf clinic given by the pros participating in the Tour.
"We are proud to be a part of an event that touches our community so profoundly," said Marshall Fox, director of corporate communications, Konica Business Technologies. "Konica was pleased to take part in an occasion that addresses such important issues. Our participation was an excellent way for us to contribute to improving the lives of women and their families, further demonstrating our commitment to give back to those within our communities."
While benefiting these organizations, the FUTURES Tour helps women realize their dreams of playing professional golf. Deemed "The Official Developmental Tour of the LPGA" in 1999, the FUTURES Tour is committed to developing the skills and dreams of women golfers.
