NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 26, 2001

Lagardere Active, in efforts to continue extending its content to multiple platforms, today announced the launch of flyingmag.com, the official Web site of Flying Magazine.

Technology developed by Be Here Corporation, the leading provider of panoramic navigable video technology, will enable a live streaming 360-degree video feed from the nation's largest air show, EAA AirVenture 2001 (July 24-30), on www.flyingmag.com.

The launch of Flyingmag.com will kick off with coverage of the world's premier aviation event, EAA AirVenture 2001 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. AirVenture is a showcase for every imaginable flying machine created by man and an enormous marketplace for every possible aviation related equipment, gear and more. Typically about 2,800 show aircraft participate including homebuilts, antiques, classics, warbirds, ultralights and rotorcraft. Over 750,000 people are expected to attend AirVenture.

Flyingmag.com will provide users with the valuable insight that makes the magazine a favorite among flying enthusiasts. The site will feature columns from aviation experts, reviews of new flying gear and technology, safety reports, flight training, information, accident analysis and calendar of aviation events. Visitors to flyingmag.com can also interact with each other in the user forums to discuss flying issues.

"Flyingmag.com will have a front row seat for the event and bring exclusive coverage, including daily updates of AirVenture, news, highlights of events, videos from the flying shows and close-up photos of the amazing recreational aircraft," said Mac McClellan, editor-in-chief of Flying Magazine.

"The launch of flyingmag.com and inclusion of Be Here's technology will provide a more immersive, interactive experience for pilots and flying enthusiasts," said Ben Tatta, COO of Lagardere Active.

Be Here's TotalView(TM) Internet system uses patented hardware and proprietary software to enable the capture, encoding, streaming and navigation of live, seamless, 360 degree Internet video. Be Here's TotalView(TM) technology is also used in a diverse range of broadcast, still-frame and surveillance imaging applications.

"With the help of Lagardere Active, the Be Here TotalView(TM) Internet System is bringing an unprecedented 360-degree interactive view of AirVenture 2001 home to Internet users and aviation enthusiasts all over the world," said Brian Terkelsen, vice president and general manager of sports and entertainment for Be Here Corporation.
