NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--July 5, 2001

Album's Title Track Holds At #1 For 4th Straight Week

For the first time in their career, multi-platinum recording group Lonestar has debuted at #1 on Billboard's Country Album Chart.

Having sold more than 112,000 units in just its first week of release, the band's newest album, "I'm Already There," broke into Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart at #9 and garnered the band the distinction of being the highest debut in the history of the RCA Label Group.

Said Joe Galante, Chairman of RCA Label Group, "On the last CD, the consumer bought it because of 'Amazed.' On the new one, the fans bought the group Lonestar. The band, the label and management all worked together to make this plan work, and we are thrilled with the results."

Spurred on by "I'm Already There," which is the country's #1 country single for the 4th week in a row, Lonestar gives most of its thanks to country radio and to its fans. Says the band's lead singer Richie McDonald, "This has blown us all away. The support that we have received from our friends at country radio and the letters that we have gotten from our fans about 'I'm Already There' have just been overwhelming.

They deserve all the credit for making our album #1."

Lonestar is currently on a national promotional tour in support of "I'm Already There" and The American Red Cross. "The Red Cross is thrilled that Lonestar has agreed to help promote Red Cross hurricane preparedness messages," said Dr. John Clizbe, Vice President of Disaster Services for the American Red Cross. "The band's new hit single, `I'm Already There,' perfectly describes the Red Cross mission when it comes to disaster preparedness. Even before disasters strike, the Red Cross is already there in local communities, helping families learn ways to stay safe from the devastation that hurricanes can cause."
