DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 2001
StarTek, Inc. (NYSE:SRT) announced today that Michael W. Morgan, Vice-Chairman, Co-Founder, and former President and CEO, received the 2001 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year(R) award for the Rocky Mountain region in the services category.
Award recipients were honored at a banquet on June 28 at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Denver, Colorado. Now, Mr. Morgan will join other regional winners to participate in Ernst & Young's National Entrepreneur Of The Year program. Finalists and winners of the national award will be announced in Palm Springs on November 17, 2001.
Accepting the award for Entrepreneur of the Year, Michael Morgan thanked his family, his co-founders and the entire StarTek family for 14 successful years. "A tremendous amount of dedication, commitment, and hard work is required to take a company from a start up to a New York Stock Exchange listed public company. There is no way one man can do this alone. The sacrifices and support of my family and the extraordinary work ethic of StarTek associates have produced a successful company of which I am very proud. I am honored to accept this award on behalf of everyone at StarTek."
The Entrepreneur Of The Year award recognizes business leaders who have demonstrated outstanding success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Rocky Mountain's award recipients were selected by an independent panel of judges from business, academic and civic organizations.
