Fujitsu Software and Attachmate Announce Agreement To Deliver World-Class Technology for e-Business Enterprise Application Integration

Agreement Unites Technology Leaders to Deliver Unparalleled Access
to Back-Office Data for e-Business Applications
Fujitsu Software Corporation (FS) and Attachmate Corporation, a leading supplier of enterprise information access and management software and services, announced they have entered into a strategic partnership agreement.
The agreement will enable Attachmate to deliver world-class technology allowing e-Business applications high-speed access to legacy or back-office systems.
The agreement calls for Attachmate to integrate components of the INTERSTAGE e-Business software platform into its host access and EAI products. The products will be marketed through Attachmate's worldwide sales organization.
"Attachmate's EAI technologies combined with Fujitsu's INTERSTAGE platform will enable us to deliver robust e-Business applications that preserve our customers' investment in back-office systems," said Frank Pritt, Chairman and CEO, Attachmate Corporation.

The INTERSTAGE e-Business software platform already has established its leadership position in Japan, where it commands a 30 percent market share.
