MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 14, 2001
SKECHERS USA, Inc. (NYSE:SKX), a global leader in lifestyle footwear, today announced that the Company opened a new retail location Friday, June 8, 2001 at the Grapevine Mills Mall in Grapevine, Texas.
The new factory outlet store joins three existing stores in Texas: a factory outlet store in the Houston suburb of Katy, and two warehouse outlet stores in Houston and the San Antonio suburb of Leon Valley.
Ideally located in the largest value retail and entertainment mall in the Southwest, the new SKECHERS factory outlet store at Grapevine Mills Mall is part of an aggressive expansion designed to expose Texas consumers to the SKECHERS brand. The Company also plans to open factory and warehouse outlets in San Antonio, San Marcos and Plano in the second and third quarters of 2001.
"We see the Texas market as untapped potential, particularly given Dallas' significance as a fashion hub in the United States," said Michael Greenberg, president of SKECHERS USA. "We're confident that our fashion-forward footwear can easily attract the region's trend-setting consumers. And Grapevine Mills Mall's enormous scope and high-traffic location makes it the ideal venue for SKECHERS to further build the brand."
In line with SKECHERS' high-tech look, the Grapevine outlet's nearly 4,000-square-foot store will be designed with SKECHERS lifestyle images and large interactive video monitors. The extensive selection of SKECHERS product for men, women and children will include the SKECHERS Sport, SKECHERS USA and SKECHERS Collection lines.
The SKECHERS Grapevine Mills Mall is at 2000 Grapevine Mills Parkway. It will be open seven days a week except major holidays. For shopping hours and information, please call (972) 539-3117.

SKECHERS continues to use its retail locations as an important brand-building tool as well as a valuable channel to convey its lifestyle image and offer a complete selection of its footwear to every trend-savvy man, woman and child.
