Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO), a leading global Internet communications, commerce and media company, today announced the introduction of Marketing Webcast Solutions from its business communications division, Yahoo! Broadcast Services. The new marketing Webcast packages are tailored to provide internal and external communications solutions for corporate marketing departments.
Yahoo! Broadcast Services developed these packages to assist in generating leads, building brand strength, reducing marketing communications costs, and increasing the speed to market for products and services. The packages combine interactive applications, consulting and production services, and promotion or distribution options, for marketers to deliver targeted information by leveraging Yahoo!'s global network of 192 million monthly consumers.
A March 2001 Jupiter Media Metrix report, Streaming Media Adoption in the Enterprise, indicates marketing related webcasting will grow to more than $1 billion by 2003.
"Our marketing solution packages help marketing departments deliver compelling campaigns to targeted audiences while saving corporate communications dollars," said Jim Lewandowski, vice president of Yahoo! Business and Enterprise Services. "These innovative marketing packages will also leverage the breadth and depth of Yahoo!'s 192 million monthly users to increase the reach and impact our customers' marketing campaigns will have. Our latest products further our commitment to help organizations more effectively and efficiently engage, communicate and transact with target audiences."
The initial offering will focus on key areas where Yahoo! Broadcast Services has determined corporate marketing customers are finding tangible value from Internet broadcasting services.
Marketing Webcast Packages:
-- Marketing Seminar Center -- designed to communicate detailed
products and services information to a large and
geographically dispersed group of prospects and customers,
this product can help marketers shorten the selling cycle,
lower customer acquisition costs and expand reach.
-- Product Demonstration Center -- this interactive multimedia
marketing center enables customers and partners to view
products and conduct transactions through a single online
interface, thereby increasing the speed and amount of online
sales, demonstrating a product visually (the preferred
consumer format) and building customer loyalty through
informational programs.
-- Brand Equity Center -- helps build and position the online
brand strategy for marketers. Brand recognition, customer
loyalty, service and interaction are strengthened through this
rich media product.
-- Product Launch Center -- delivers consistent and compelling
new product or service messaging to all audiences; customers
and prospects, employees, Wall Street, sales forces, and
channel partners.
-- Sales Support Center -- serves as a single resource point for
all sales and marketing assets -- such as presentations, video
clips, documents, and internal corporate messages from senior
level executives -- to facilitate the distribution of sales
collateral and share best practices information.
