BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 21, 2001
AppWorx Corporation announced today that Wah Chang has selected the AppWorx enterprise job scheduler based on its ability to manage multiple reports across software applications and its proven integration with Oracle(R)'s E-Business Suite 11i.
Wah Chang is part of Allegheny Technologies, one of the world's largest manufacturers of specialty metals and chemicals, used in energy production, chemical and mineral processing, aerospace, medical, research and consumer products. The company has been using a homegrown system with its own scheduler to launch SQR and SQL-based reports against several Oracle databases, but sought a more robust scheduling solution.
"We wanted to implement a centralized scheduling system that is web-based and offers robust management features," said Tom Owens, director of information services for Wah Chang. "AppWorx is the best scheduler we could find that meets our criteria. The company's excellent support and proven integration with the Oracle E-Business Suite sealed the deal. I expect to see a significant increase in efficiency as a result of selecting AppWorx."
"AppWorx will enable Wah Chang to automatically run all of the reports on a 24/7 basis, regardless of the reporting application," said Bill Wrenn, President and CEO of AppWorx Corporation. "A centralized reporting system will continue to pay dividends as the company adds new applications within their IT environment, leading to increased productivity and a significant return on investment."
