SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 25, 2001

Company completes its first year of working with schools on the

development and production of CD-ROM-based yearbooks

Yearbook Interactive(TM) today announced the winners of its first annual MYBE Awards, a program designed to recognize the top interactive yearbooks created by high school and junior high students using Yearbook Interactive's multimedia authoring software, Yearbook Builder(TM).

The interactive, CD-ROM-based yearbook created by students at Palm Harbor University High School of Palm Harbor, Fla., was recognized as the overall winner for the 2000-2001 school year. (Judging for the Multimedia YearBook Excellence (MYBE) Award program was performed by a team of Yearbook Interactive employees and executives.)

"Palm Harbor's yearbook stood out among the scores of other yearbooks we received because of its overall look and feel, and the fact that the students incorporated numerous features into the multimedia yearbook, including dances, sports, clubs and a variety of other school-sponsored events," said John Lund, chief executive officer of Yearbook Interactive. "The students at Palm Harbor created an elaborate CD-ROM that will provide memories for their lifetimes and beyond."

Yearbook Interactive provides schools with proprietary authoring software -- Yearbook Builder -- designed to guide students through the yearbook development process using templates and user-friendly uploading features to create CD-ROM-based multimedia yearbooks.

"It's an incredible yearbook, definitely the best we've ever had," said Keith Mastorides, assistant principal at Palm Harbor University High School. "The students and the yearbook advisor did a tremendous job on pulling this project together, and we're looking forward to seeing what they can produce for us and the students next year."

The list of the 20 best interactive yearbooks in the country was released today by Yearbook Interactive at the National Education Computing Conference (NECC), being held June 25-27 in Chicago. Yearbook Interactive determined the MYBE Award winners based on the overall look and feel of the yearbooks, the label design or artwork and content, and how well the students incorporated video into their multimedia CD-ROM-based yearbooks.

"We were impressed with the creativity and overall look of all of the entries we received," Lund added, "especially considering the short amount of time the schools had to create the multimedia yearbooks."

In addition to Palm Harbor University High School, the other schools being selected as MYBE Award winners for their efforts in producing an interactive multimedia CD-ROM yearbook for the 2000-2001 school year are shown below.
