SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 28, 2001

LiquidSeats Partners with Major League Baseball Advanced Media to

Offer Teams an Online Ticket Exchange

The Seattle Mariners will be the first baseball team to offer an exclusive on-line service developed by LiquidSeats allowing season ticket holders to resell their unused tickets for choice seat locations to upcoming games. Beginning today, fans can purchase these seats from the "Mariners Ticket Marketplace" on the team's official website.

MLB Advanced Media, LP (MLBAM), the interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball, has partnered with LiquidSeats to offer a proprietary ticketing system that seamlessly integrates with the team's existing website. The new system provides each club with their own e-marketplace that enables the resale of season tickets. LiquidSeats acts as the financial intermediary and takes responsibility for the back-end payment processing, delivery, logistics and customer service. Season ticket holders who cannot attend every game will have the ability to resell their seats and fans who never had access to the best seats will now be able to buy them from season ticket holders.

"The Mariners want to continue providing fans with new value-added services that leverage the technology available today," said Larry Witherspoon, Vice President of Technology Services for the Seattle Mariners. "We want to provide an improved system for buying secondary tickets for other fans."

"We are excited to be working with the Seattle Mariners and MLBAM to provide this much-needed service to season ticket holders," said Jeff Fluhr, CEO of LiquidSeats. "Now season ticket holders can generate a better return on their investment and other fans will have access to the best seats in the venue. Furthermore, by reducing "no shows", the teams are able to generate more revenue from concessions, parking and merchandise. It's really a win-win for everyone."

The LiquidSeats software allows teams and leagues to customize the look, feel and functionality of the system. This means that teams and leagues can decide how the system will work and who can use it. LiquidSeats offers both private labeled and co-branded systems.
