MobileStar names Former WorldCom Broadband Solutions CEO, Robert Kaiser, as President And CEO

MobileStar Network Corporation, an award-winning provider of broadband wireless Internet access, announced today the appointment of Robert A. Kaiser as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO) effective immediately.
Kaiser most recently served as CEO of WorldCom Broadband Solutions Group, where he was responsible for numerous broadband services including all domestic wireless broadband efforts. Prior to WorldCom, Kaiser served as CEO and CFO of SkyTel, where he was responsible for SkyTel's financial restructuring which led to WorldCom's acquisition of the $1 billion dollar wireless messaging company with nearly two million subscribers. Earlier in his pioneering career in wireless, Kaiser played an integral role in the growth of Southwestern Bell's Mobile Systems where he served for nearly 10 years as CFO during SBMS and Cellular One's rapid growth, rapid expansion, building years.
Kaiser will spearhead MobileStar's national roll-out of its network and wireless Internet service with leading national retail, OEM and travel industry brands, including: site partners Starbucks, American Airlines Admirals Clubs and 18 national hotel brands including Hilton Hotels, MeriStar, Columbia Sussex; OEM manufacturers HP and IBM; retail brands; and travel partnerships including American Airlines and numerous airport authorities across the country.
