BMC Software Announces Support for IBM's WebSphere Process Manager; PATROL for WebSphere Process Manager has the Most Complete WebSphere Management Solution Available

To complete its leading WebSphere management solution family, BMC Software Inc. (NYSE:BMC), the leading provider of enterprise management, today announced support for IBM's WebSphere Process Manager product. Formerly known as MQSeries WorkFlow, this product automates business processes as a member of the former MQSeries family of products. The management and monitoring of WebSphere Process Manager objects is available immediately in the current releases of the existing PATROL(R) for MQ - Operator, PATROL for MQ - Administrator, and MAINVIEW(R) for MQSeries products. Management of specific WebSphere Process Manager processes and automated recovery actions will be addressed in a new PATROL family product called PATROL for WebSphere Process Manager. This new solution offering further rounds out BMC Software's middleware management offerings and supports BMC Software's infrastructure management initiatives to assure business availability.
Enhanced WebSphere Process Manager support within the PATROL for WebSphere Process Manager product is planned to be available in Q4 of 2001. This enhanced support will include automated recovery actions on business processes, as well as the management and monitoring of the Process Manager elements as an application.
