Experian Completes Acquisition of Exactis.com; Acquisition Provides Experian With Turn-Key E-Mail Deployment

Experian(R), a leading provider of global information solutions, today announced it has completed its acquisition of Exactis.com from 24/7 Media Inc. for net proceeds of $13.5 million in cash.
The acquisition strengthens Experian's ability to quickly deliver highly integrated, cost-effective e-mail campaigns for businesses that want to communicate with their customers and prospects through personalized and targeted e-mail messages.
With the acquisition of Exactis, Experian will be a leading provider of e-mail marketing solutions. Exactis uses its leading-edge technology and unmatched expertise to deliver more than 500 million messages a month to subscribers for more than 100 category leaders in multiple vertical markets.

Exactis is part of Experian Marketing Solutions and will continue to be located in Denver. Tom Detmer, senior vice president and general manager will lead the e-mail organization.
