SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 13, 2001
McQuerterGroup, a full-service marketing communications agency for high-tech enterprises, today announced agreements totaling $5 million to provide integrated strategic marketing and public relations services for three growing technology businesses: Previo, Peregrine Semiconductor, and Excelsus Technologies.
All three companies have recently launched major initiatives to move quickly into emerging market opportunities. Specializing in strategic support for high-tech businesses in rapid growth or transition, McQuerterGroup is combining its advertising, PR and online capabilities to help the three companies move into these new areas.
"Bigger isn't necessarily better anymore, but quick-to-market is a clear competitive advantage," noted agency CEO Gregory W. McQuerter. "All three clients came to us because they knew we were knowledgeable about the market dynamics in their space. They knew we could get traction for them faster."
Previo: As workers become increasingly reliant on their computers, the enterprise Help Desk plays a growing role in protecting workforce productivity. Previo, a leading source of enterprise PC support products, is introducing eSupport Essentials(TM), a next-generation Help Desk system that enables support personnel to perform many activities remotely, including quickly restoring inoperable PCs to their exact pre-failure state. McQuerterGroup is supporting Previo's product launch with national trade advertising, corporate and product PR, and Web site development.
Peregrine Semiconductor: Wireless and satellite communications are placing increasing demands on electronic components. In response, Peregrine Semiconductor is introducing a new line of high-performance integrated circuits based on its patented silicon-on-sapphire CMOS process technology. Peregrine, currently evolving to full operational capacity from an R&D phase, has recently added full manufacturing and product-marketing capabilities, and plans to launch more than 50 products this year. McQuerterGroup is promoting Peregrine's expansion through national trade advertising, product launches, trade show support and corporate PR campaigns.
Excelsus: Growing numbers of consumers are subscribing to DSL and other services for broadband Internet access over conventional telephone lines. Excelsus Technologies provides economical, user-installed line filters and other accessories to improve these services. The company is currently expanding its presence from its current telecom-carrier base into the international Internet service provider (ISP) and electronics-retailer segments. McQuerterGroup is supporting this expansion through brand and identity development, national advertising and PR, a new e-commerce-enabled Web site, and product packaging and displays.
Patrice Laughton, vice president of marketing at Excelsus, commented on the new agreement: "With our recent explosive growth and international expansion, we needed a partner with the resources and experience to mount an aggressive marketing effort across the entire spectrum of PR, print and online marketing. McQuerterGroup's proven ability in all these areas made them the right choice for us."
