FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 13, 2001
Your network is hit with a cyber attack - - - what will you do? Unless you have a plan, you are likely to destroy or render inadmissible important digital evidence. An ISSA Seminar on March 15th will tell you what to do and what not to do when you are the victim of a cybercrime. The seminar will run through a case study and show how to:
-- Prepare to collect digital evidence -- Secure the crime scene and collect digital evidence -- Evaluate and investigate the digital evidence with demonstrations of sample computer forensic tools -- Testify in court
The featured speaker for the seminar is Dale Peterson with Digital Bond, a network security consulting company in Sunrise, FL. Mr. Peterson is a certified NSA cryptanalyst and a frequent speaker at national information security conferences.
The Seminar is sponsored by the South Florida Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA). The seminar is free for security professionals and runs from 3:30 to 6 PM on March 15th in Ft. Lauderdale. Reservations are required.
Rob Carey, Vice President of South Florida Chapter said, "Attending ISSA meetings is an excellent way for CIO's and Security Professionals to learn the latest information in this important and fast changing field. Since the membership is limited to people in the network security field, the caliber of the presentations, case studies, and round table discussions is extremely high."
ISSA meetings help candidates train for the Certified Information System Security Professionals (CISSP) exam, and CISSPs receive 2 continuing professional education (CPE) credits for attending the March meeting.
