Lucent Technologies and GroupServe Form Alliance to Provide Mobile Team Collaboration Solutions

GroupServe, a leading groupware developer of wireless-enabled, Internet-based solutions for work teams, today announced an alliance with Lucent Technologies (NYSE:LU), a global leader in broadband and mobile Internet.

Under the alliance, GroupServe will become a member of Lucent's Mobile Internet Cooperative Innovations(SM) program and will complement Lucent's experience and knowledge to offer mobile operators worldwide the ability to quickly launch revenue-generating applications and services on current and third-generation (3G) wireless networks.

Specifically, the agreement enables Lucent to enhance its Mobile Experience(TM) offer portfolio with GroupServe's groupware solution, GroupPort(SM).

GroupPort provides work teams with an easily-managed, centralized location for project-related information that can be accessed via any wireless device, such as personal digital assistants (PDAs) and WAP-enabled phones.
