EA SPORTS and Sonny Vaccaro Name the 2001 EA SPORTS All-America High School Basketball Teams; Honorees to play in the Sonny Vaccaro 2001 EA SPORTS Roundball Classic

EA SPORTS(TM) and Sonny Vaccaro are pleased to announce the 2001 EA SPORTS All-America high school basketball team. The East and West All-America teams will participate in the Sonny Vaccaro 2001 EA SPORTS Roundball Classic; Monday, April 9 at 8PM/CT (9PM/ET) at Northwestern University's Welsh Ryan Arena. This year's broadcast will be produced by Intersport, Inc. and will air live on ESPN2. adidas is the official footwear and apparel provider for the Sonny Vaccaro 2001 EA SPORTS Roundball Classic.

Our goal is that high school seniors set out at the beginning of each season with the desire to be named EA SPORTS All-American and to play in the most unique and hippest all-star game around; Sonny Vaccaro's EA SPORTS Roundball Classic. Recipients of this honor will be the first in a long line of high school basketball stars that will carry with them the label `EA SPORTS All-American' during what will no doubt be illustrious college, and for many professional, careers."

Tickets for the Sonny Vaccaro 2001 EA SPORTS Roundball Classic will be available through Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212 with proceeds benefiting a select group of children's charities in the Chicago area. The Sonny Vaccaro 2001 EA SPORTS Roundball Classic will be a celebration of the nation's best high school basketball players together with music and technology.

Joining EA SPORTS for the Sonny Vaccaro 2001 EA SPORTS Roundball Classic as official footwear and apparel provider is long-time event partner adidas. Intersport, a Chicago-based production company known as an industry leader in the creation of the newest ideas in sports will produce the 36th installment of the Roundball Classic.
