Ambient Corporation Announces Appointment of Former United States Senator Rudy Boschwitz to its Advisory Board

Minnesota Two Term Senator and Business Leader to Advise Ambient
on Regulatory and Other Issues Pertaining to Power-line
Telecommunications (PLT) Technology
Ambient Corporation (OTC BB:ABTG), the world leader in Powerline Telecommunications technology (PLT), announced today that former Minnesota United States Senator Rudy Boschwitz has agreed to serve on its Advisory Board. Boschwitz who fled Nazi Germany as a child and rose to become the founder and CEO of Plywood Minnesota and a two-term member of the United States Senate, will advise Ambient Corporation on regulatory and other issues, effective immediately.
During his distinguished tenure in the United States Senate (1978-1990), Boschwitz served on the Foreign Affairs, Budget, Small Business, and Veterans Affairs committees.
In 1991, Boschwitz was personally selected by former President George Bush as his special emissary to Ethiopia where he negotiated "Operation Solomon".

Senator Boschwitz will join, among others on the Ambient Advisory Board, his former colleague in the United States Senate, the Honorable J. Bennett Johnston; four term former Senator from Louisiana and former Chairman of the Senate's Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Senator Johnston's appointment as Chairman of the Ambient Corporation Advisory Board was announced on November 16, 2000. On July 27, 2000, Consolidated Edison of New York (NYSE:ED), the nations largest investor owned energy company, announced acceptance of a seat on the Ambient Corporation Advisory Board.

Ambient Corporation has developed and owns innovative and proprietary technology that facilitates the transfer of Internet and high-speed data through ordinary electric powerlines. The same electric wiring that is ordinarily used to transmit electrical power to individual homes and businesses can also be used to transmit high-speed data.
Ambient's Powerline Telecommunications technology (PLT) is designed to enable utilities and power companies to partner with Ambient in creating baskets of utility and consumer services. These utility services are expected to include such features as automatic meter reading (AMR), load switching/balancing, demand management, outage reporting, real-time billing and alarm monitoring. Consumer services may feature Internet, telephony, video-on-demand, content and smart appliances. Both baskets of services will be achieved using Ambient's Powerline Telecommunications technology (PLT) across electrical powerlines and using existing infrastructure.
Last November Ambient jointly announced with Consolidated Edison of New York (NYSE:ED), successful first phase testing of Ambient's Powerline Telecommunications Technology. In January 2001 Ambient announced successful joint testing held in Osaka, Japan which exceeded the results of the first Con Edison tests.
On January 25, 2001 Ambient Corp. announced it had conducted in Hong Kong the first ever successful testing of its Powerline Telecommunications Technology in an actual residential building. These tests established successful connectivity from the electric distribution closet, to the furthest apartments on all 8 floors. In addition connectivity between each floor was successfully proven. Throughput data rates of up to 8 Mbps were recorded, with raw speed exceeding 25 Mbps.
On January 31. 2001 Ambient announced a development and licensing agreement with Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO).
