BERKELEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 1, 2001
Loansoft, a provider of automation software for the mortgage industry, announced that Atlanta-based Sun America Mortgage Corporation has selected its LS AGENT point-of-sale solution to automate its front-end loan application process, and is in the initial implementation phase.
Sun America anticipates using LS AGENT will reduce the company's administration costs, increase efficiency for its loan officers and boost customer service.
According to Sun America, it looked at several different vendors before deciding on the Loansoft STUDIO system. "Its functionality was very easy to understand and all transactions could be completed from a single application," Sun America spokesperson said. "For example, Desktop Underwriter and Loan Prospector may be accessed without leaving the application. Credit works the same way too. This will save the user additional time when trying to approve a borrower."
Loansoft Chief Operations Officer C.C. Miller said, "Sun America is very well respected in the mortgage industry and especially in Atlanta where the market is very active. LS AGENT is a very innovative product and will assist Sun America in meeting its goals to provide increased productivity and profits.
Sun America expects to have the LS AGENT system completely rolled out to its loan officers by June 2001.
