NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 1, 2001
AssetEye Inc., a leading developer of next generation portfolio management tools for commercial real estate, today announced a cooperative technology alliance with Peracon, Inc., a web-based platform to assist brokers and owners in the sale of institutional quality real estate. AssetEye and Peracon have agreed to support the Data Consortium's DCN, allowing their platforms to seamlessly exchange property listing information.
Using a simple point-and-click interface, owners will be able to submit a property for sale directly from their AssetEye database to Peracon's listing and transaction support service. The alliance represents one of the first vendor-to-vendor implementations of the DCN draft standard for commercial real estate, allowing software products from different software vendors to speak the same language. Property information, from rent rolls to historical income and expense data, will flow from AssetEye/CRE to Peracon's systems, without conversion, export, or re-keying.
"It's exciting to think what alliances like this mean to commercial real estate," said Greg Sherman, CEO of AssetEye Inc. "The promise of XML is that real estate companies can spend less time and money manipulating their data. Ultimately, the industry will be able to focus on its business without getting frustrated by systems that don't play well together."
"By automatically populating portions of our on-line offering memorandum and on-line war rooms directly from AssetEye's database, property owners and brokers will further reduce the amount of time and effort needed to take a property to market," said Bill Kahane, CEO of Peracon, Inc.
In keeping with its commitment to building open, standards-based solutions, AssetEye will continue to seek similar alliances with software vendors and web-based service providers.
