NEW HARTFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 2001
ParTech, Inc., a leading provider of integrated technology solutions to the hospitality and entertainment industries, today announced its POS4 point-of-sale hardware (POS) has received certification as a viable platform for hosting application software from Retail Technologies International(R) (RTI) of Carmichael, CA.
RTI is an industry leader in retail software solutions and their Real Pro(R) application is one of the leading applications in the retail space. This relationship will allow Par to further penetrate the retail technology market outside of their traditional niche market of foodservice.
Par's POS4 is a powerful, Pentium(R)-based, open-architecture, Windows95 and NT compatible POS platform solution. In addition to the sleek, ergonomic design, the small footprint makes it ideal for use on the retail counter. POS4 is designed to ensure years of stellar performance under the heaviest traffic conditions.
Retail Pro is a high performance, 32- bit Windows application offering the very best in point-of-sale, inventory control, e-commerce and business analytics. Running on Par's NT/2000 platform, Retail Pro combines touch screen navigation with a fully user-definable graphical interface, making it the most user-friendly system in the world.
"The collaboration between Par and RTI marks the association of two experts in their respective fields," said Greg Cortese, CEO of ParTech. "Par's POS4, when combined with RTI's Real Pro, is a winning solution for any retail enterprise seeking a market-leading management system that can ensure continuing service and support."
"RTI and Par are both hopeful that this association will enable both companies to expand into areas we might not otherwise have reached," commented Jordan Herrington, Director of Channel Development for RTI.
