Midway Games Inc. (NYSE:MWY), a leading software industry publisher and developer, announced its all-new videogame line-up for next-generation game systems at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) at the Los Angeles Convention Center, May 17-19, 2001.

Spy Hunter(R)
In the next-generation version of the popular 1980s action-racing game Spy Hunter(R), the player is on a mission to save the world once again in a relentless, action-intense game of mission-based vehicular espionage with breathtaking full-motion-video cut scenes, where the hunter is also the hunted. The Spy Hunter player must complete 14 high-adrenaline missions in a variety of exotic worldwide locations in order to defeat the evil multinational corporation, NOSTRA. With next-generation 3D design, incredible high-tech weaponry and a sleek new vehicle -- the G-6155 Interceptor -- the Spy Hunter player must make split-second decisions while engaging in offensive attacks and defensive counter-attacks. The daring reconnaissance missions lead the Spy Hunter player around the globe to exotic locations, each is modeled to a high degree of photo-realism and provides recognizable landmarks and scenery to offer compelling visual themes. Players have no choice other than being totally immersed in the relentless action with the clandestine plot that unfolds throughout the game, revealing the ultimate secret of Spy Hunter. Spy Hunter is scheduled to ship for the PlayStation(R)2 this Fall.
Legion: the Legend of Excalibur(TM)
Delivering an intense, and "never-been-done-before" experience, Legion: The Legend of Excalibur(TM) combines action with the rich character and story development familiar to the Role-Playing Genre (RPG) and strategic depth enjoyed by Real-Time Strategy (RTS) fans. Legion: The Legend of Excalibur (Developed by 7 Studios) bestows the most enticing elements within the epic legend of King Arthur and his mystical sword Excalibur. Players take direct control of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, leading legions of men into dynamic battlefield environments. Battling through 14 in-depth missions, players must find and recruit the 12 Knights of the Round Table, while Merlin provides background and insight to aid in uniting Camelot. Each action-based mission features primary and secondary objectives as Knights progress in rank, proceed on hard-fought quests and discover more than 100 kinds of magic weapons, armor and other legendary items. Arctic Thunder(TM)
Arctic Thunder(TM) is the only fast-paced, battle-intensive snowmobile racing game that breaks-the-rules and pushes the limits on speed, as well as hand-to-hand and weapon combat for next-generation systems. Armed with an arsenal of weapons to choose from like atomic snowballs, proximity missiles and super attacks, the characters in Arctic Thunder possess unique skills and personalities matched with their own custom snowmobiles. Race through 12 wild, nail-biting courses, each with a unique setting. In addition to the high-speed races, Arctic Thunder also features a multiplayer battle arena mode, where two to four players battle head-to-head in an enclosed ice arena. Arctic Thunder is scheduled to ship for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox(TM) video game system from Microsoft this Fall.
Gauntlet Dark Legacy(TM)
A 3D version of the time-honored Gauntlet(R) videogame franchise, Gauntlet Dark Legacy(TM) has been redefined for PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, and introduces a variety of fascinating characters, masterfully crafted worlds and next-generation features and includes a game design that allows four-player cooperative gameplay.
