LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 18, 2001
LJH Global Investments, LLC, an independent U.S.-based firm specializing in strategically tailored fund of funds solutions in hedge funds and private equity, announced today the opening of its European office.
LJH Global Investments Limited is now located at 23 Berkeley Square, Mayfair, in London. Under the leadership of Managing Director Ronald M. Neumunz, the new representative office will enable the established firm to meet the growing alternative investment requirements of existing and future clients, including substantial families, individuals, money management firms and institutional investors throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
"LJH principals in the U.S. have been successfully investing in hedge funds since the 1970s. This experience, combined with a solid reputation for extensive due diligence, research and quality investment decisions, has contributed to our reputation as an industry leader. The major investment houses are primarily generalist firms; LJH, however, has carved a unique niche as exclusively dedicated to hedge funds and private equity," said James R. Hedges, IV, who founded LJH Global Investments and LJH Alternative Investments in 1992.
"Statistics show that the United States accounts for approximately 80 percent of worldwide hedge fund investments. From that standpoint, we are confident that LJH is well-positioned to gain continued recognition as a worldwide authority in the hedge fund and alternative investment industry," said Neumunz.
Neumunz joins LJH from JP Morgan Chase, where he had over 12 years of sales and management experience between the merged institutions. At Chase Manhattan, he headed a specialized sales team focused on fixed income, foreign exchange and derivative products in emerging markets.
Before joining Chase Manhattan, Neumunz established and managed the Global Market sales office for J.P. Morgan in Zurich, Switzerland. Neumunz has also lectured on strategy and entrepreneurship in the Executive Education Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and earned a Master's of Business Administration degree at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor's degree at Yale University.
Since its inception, LJH has demonstrated its ability to employ multi-manager hedged investment strategies that earn its clients enhanced risk-adjusted rates of return, and has grown to become a consultant to more than $3 billion in client allocations.
LJH Global Investments, LLC is a registered investment and commodity advisor in the United States. LJH Global Investments Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary) will shortly be seeking necessary regulatory approvals.
