Tonos Teams With the L.A. Dodgers for the 'Tonos 4th of July Challenge'; Winner Will Perform the National Anthem at Dodger Stadium on America's 225th Birthday

Tonos Entertainment Inc. ("Tonos"), the only music company leveraging the Internet to serve the music creation and discovery space, today announced it has teamed up with the Los Angeles Dodgers for its latest contest, the "Tonos 4th of July Challenge."
From May 17, 2001, to June 22, 2001, vocalists and instrumentalists can log on to Tonos (www.tonos.com) and submit their entry. Musicians who enter have the chance to perform the national anthem at the L.A. Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants opening ceremonies on July 4, 2001.
"Teaming up with the Dodgers for our latest challenge gives one talented artist the chance to be heard by 50,000 people," stated Justin Herz, executive vice president and general manager of Tonos. "We are dedicated to providing musicians with exclusive opportunities to showcase their talent."
The "Tonos 4th of July Challenge" is open to both vocalists and instrumentalists. Vocalist entrants will record an a cappella version of "The Star Spangled Banner" in MP3 format only. Instrumentalists will submit an MP3 of their solo of the national anthem. All entries must be submitted to www.tonos.com by June 22, 2001, (6:00 p.m. PST) for consideration in the challenge.
Tonos' A&R department will choose and announce the winning entry no later than July 1, 2001. The winner will be notified by mail, e-mail and/or telephone.
