Regent at Sterling Park and the International High School Sponsor Fourth Annual Senior Prom

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BW HealthWire)--May 23, 2001

Regent at Sterling Park, a premier assisted living community, and the International High School of Bellevue, Wash. will hold a combined "Senior Prom" on Friday, June 1, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Sterling Park.

Now in its fourth year, the Senior Prom combines both the senior residents of Sterling Park and the students from the International High School. A coronation of a King and Queen will take place before the night is over. The International High School's Jazz Band will provide music and the theme is "Hollywood Star Walk". Students from the school's "Roots and Shoots" service club provide all the decorations, which will include giant golden cutout stars framing photos of Sterling Park residents.

Promoting intergenerational activities is part of Regent at Sterling Park's Life Enrichment series of activities that seeks to keep seniors active and healthy. The International School, located at 445 128th Avenue SE in Bellevue, is part of the Bellevue Public School District. The school's seven-year program includes math, science, humanities, French or German, international studies, fine arts and physical education for middle and high school students.
